Photographs from Edwardian Britain

Queen Victoria died in January 1901. Her death marked the end of the Victorian era and the dawn of the Edwardian era. Her son, King Edward VII, reigned until 1910.

Some show people from all walks of life going about their daily chores and activities. Others have sat in a photographer’s studio to have their portraits taken.
